Facebook, Microsoft Helping U.K. Government Select And Train A New Generation Of Computer Science Teachers

4401344940_d3d1b26e70_mThe U.K. government is trying to fix the problem of poor IT teaching in schools -- flagged up as a problem by Google's Schmidt last year -- and today it's announced measures to equip a new generation of computer science teachers with the skills to teach the underlying principles of computing, rather than run lessons in how to use Microsoft Word.
